Independent AI Researcher • MSc Big Data Technologies (GCU London)
Hello! I'm Rizwan Ali, an independent AI researcher and MSc Big Data Technologies graduate from Glasgow Caledonian University (London campus), focused on building interpretable and deployable AI systems.
My career began in digital and web technology, where I developed strong foundations in SEO, web performance, and front-end development using HTML and CSS. This early work shaped how I think about usability, clarity, and real-world impact—skills I now apply when designing AI systems intended for practical deployment.
During my MSc at Glasgow Caledonian University (London), I specialised in machine learning and data-driven system design, with a particular focus on explainability, reliability, and evaluation. My research explores applied AI in high-stakes domains such as credit card fraud detection and short-horizon market signal prediction, combining rigorous modelling with transparent interpretation and reproducible workflows.
My mission is to bridge research and delivery: building AI models that are not only accurate, but also understandable, testable, and usable. I support open science through public preprints, GitHub repositories, and deployable prototypes—so that researchers and practitioners can verify results, reuse methods, and build responsibly on top of the work.
Building AI systems that are interpretable and explainable, ensuring that every prediction can be understood and trusted by humans.
Pushing the boundaries of what's possible in AI research while maintaining focus on practical, deployable solutions for real-world problems.
Sharing research openly and contributing to the global AI community through publications, open-source code, and collaborative projects.
